Prescriptions – How to Request a Repeat Prescription

The Health Centre’s Prescription team is constantly working to improve the services we provide to our patients, including the prescription ordering process. We have identified inefficiencies and errors in the current method of ordering prescriptions over the phone or by leaving voice messages. To address this, we are making changes and terminating the option of placing prescription orders via phone, including voicemails.

We understand that some patients, especially the elderly, may prefer to order medications by phone due to unfamiliarity with or unavailability of other options. Please rest assured that we will assist you every step of the way to ensure that you receive all of your medication orders.

After switching off the telephone reordering process on 30/08/24, the following options are available for you to reorder your medications.

  • NHSapp (website or mobile app) – Patient Access

The Patient Participation Group (PPG) will be at the practice on Monday, September 2nd, and Wednesday, September 4th, from 11:00a.m. to 12:30p.m. They will assist anyone who may be experiencing issues using the NHS app via mobile phone or the website.

  • Email to bobicb-ox.cnhc.prescriptions@nhs.net
  • Leave your ticked repeat request slip in the letterbox outside the Health Centre 24/7 or at the village shops.
    • You can request medications by dropping off your ticked repeat requests in the secure post box outside the Health Centre 24/7.
    • We are planning to install secure post boxes at the village shops at Long Compton, Chadlington, Enstone, Kingham and Hook Norton, and you can leave your ticked repeat request slip at the village shops. We are also investigating other locations including the villager bus.
  • If you are a dispensary patient, the dispensary team can re-order for you. Please contact them for more information.

If none of the options above work for you, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our team, and we will endeavour to find the right solution for you.

While the fastest way to order is the NHSapp, please allow at least 4 working days from ordering to collection or 8 working days if you are using a village box.
