Chipping Norton vaccination site – vaccinations bookable via the National Booking System

We are really pleased to inform you that Chipping Norton has been approved to be a site user for the NBS (National Booking System). This means that as patients within cohorts 10 -12 (those aged 18 – 49), and others, become eligible for vaccination you will soon be able to select Chipping Norton Health Centre as a vaccination site when making an appointment via the NBS.

We, as a practice, will no longer be sending invitations to those patients within the remaining age cohorts, you will need to visit the NBS when you receive your NHS Invitation.

So – when you receive your invitation from NHS England to book your vaccination you will be able to log on to Book a coronavirus vaccination – NHS ( and book both your first and second vaccinations at the Chipping Norton site. You can only book via this method when you become eligible, this is in line with national guidance.

If you cannot select Chipping Norton Health Centre it will be because we do not have any clinics ‘live’ to be booked into. Please do not contact the practice to book your appointment, we will not be able to do so, you will need to wait until we offer appointments again via the NBS. There will be specific first vaccination dates and a corresponding second vaccination date available. If you cannot make the second date offered at CNHC you can select another vaccination site in another location that may suit you.

You must book both appointments and receive confirmation of your booking.

If you cannot select Chipping Norton Health Centre and you are keen to be vaccinated we would encourage you to attend another vaccination site.

Please try and avoid calling your GP practice regarding eligibility and invitations from NHS England as we do not manage the NHS invitations.

We will publish clinic days and times with availability to book via the NBS here – we are keen that patients in our locality do not have to travel far to get vaccinated. So please keep an eye out.

Best wishes

The CNHC team
