Chipping Norton Heath Centre Dispensary.
Eligibility for Dispensary:
Chipping Norton Health Centre is a Dispensing GP Practice. You are eligible to register as a dispensing patient if you live more than a mile (as the crow flies) from a pharmacy. The benefit to those eligible patients is that they do not have to take their prescription to a pharmacy to collect their medications whether acute or repeat, but can have them dispensed directly from the Health Centre.
Unfortunately, the legislation surrounding GPs dispensing only allows for GPs to dispense to patients living more than a mile from their nearest pharmacy. This means that only about one-third (5,000) of our patients will have the benefit of this service. To check your eligibility, please click the following link and enter your postcode. If your address is outside the blue circle, you are eligible to be a dispensing patient.

Prescription Charges
From April 2025, NHS prescription charges in England will be £9.90 per item. This means that a single prescription for one medicine will cost £9.90. This is the charge the government collects for the cost of your medicine. If you have an exemption from prescription charges, you must provide proof of this when you collect your medicines.
